Dr Melusi Thwala joins the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) on 1 March 2022 as Manager: Science Advisory Programme and Strategic Partnerships. Melusi’s responsibilities include management of the Science Advisory Programme as well as Strategic partnerships to include Women in Science and Young Scientist activities. Melusi comes with 15 years working experience in research and higher education and has a proven record in science citizenship in both local and international organisations.
