ASSAf Members – Find a call for nominations for the 2020 ASSAf Science-for-Society Gold Medal Awards. Nominations must contain a motivation relating to the criteria for the award (the emphasis being on the impact of the nominees’ contributions to societal issues and policy making in South Africa), and must be accompanied by a full curriculum vitae.

The motivation should not exceed six pages (there is no official form). The deadline for the submission of nominations is 3 June 2020 (midnight). Unsuccessful candidates may be re-nominated but re-nominations must be motivated in accordance with the ‘Science and Society’ criteria (nominations will not be carried over from year to year). 

All nominations must be submitted electronically to Mrs Renate Venier at renate@assaf.org.za.
