Dear ASSAf Members – The Call for nominations for ASSAf’s Science-for-Society Gold Medal Award for 2024 is open.

Nominations are invited from ASSAf Members and must contain a motivation relating to the criteria for the award (the emphasis being on the impact of the nominees’ contributions to societal issues and policy making in South Africa) and must be accompanied by a full curriculum vitae. The motivation should not exceed six pages (there is no official form). See ASSAf Regulation 2 for more information.

Unsuccessful candidates may be re-nominated but re-nominations must be motivated in accordance with the ‘Science and Society’ criteria (nominations will not be carried over from year to year).

All nominations must be submitted electronically to renate@assaf.org.za.

The deadline for the submission of nominations is 30 April 2024 (midnight).
